JSR Portraits

Welcome to JSR Portraits. I specialize in creating quality portraits for discerning art lovers who want to memorialize their loved ones for posterity. I have also decided to use this venue to display the work I've done to memorialize the October 7th hostages.

Early in 2024, I was made aware of a project to highlight and provide support to the October 7th hostages and their families. As a portrait artist, I decided to utilize my talent to aid in this project by painting portraits of the hostages. As of March 2025, I have completed 22 portraits and these are displayed along with biographical information and their present day status. I am presently working on additional portraits, and this site will be updated with these, as they are completed.​

Having spent many hours on each portrait, I came to feel that I knew each of them personally, and felt a great sense of sadness and loss at their fate on that day. ​I wish to thank the website cominghomesoon.online  and Wikipedia for the photos and biographical data.

As I work from photographs, you won't have to sit for hours posing. I only require that you send me several photos of your desired subject. After review and only when we reach full agreement, will I begin work on your portrait. At this time, a non-refundable deposit will be required.
